Michèle Carbery offers intuitive art therapy and tutoring for individuals and groups, in which she combines her professional creative skills as an artist, with understanding of Buddhist psychology, meditation techniques and first-hand experience in caregiving work.

• Using insight, compassion and creativity to help elderly, chronically ill, terminally illl and dementia patients enjoy a peaceful reduction in anxiety and to also discover reconnection with happy memories.

• Helping individuals create new, relaxed and enjoyable experiences, while engrossed in creative projects.

• Guiding emersion in creative pursuits, providing healthy distraction from emotional and physical pain, potentially reducing some need for medication.

Michèle works with great patience, kindness and creativity. Often, individuals believe at first that they cannot draw or paint, are self-conscious, or have lost the ability through physical disability, the effects of progressive dementia and age.

Through thoughtful listening and perceptiveness, Michèle patiently gets to know the individual and their family. With her gentle, sensitive, professional and intuitive approach, Michèle can often engage the patient in ways that allow them to express and experience their inner feelings, thoughts and memories in new peaceful and creative ways.
